The Ashen Drift

Across a remote volcanic plain, wind moves freely over fields of dark earth. Charcoal sand and weathered basalt stretch across the landscape in deep sweeping forms, while lighter volcanic ash gathers along ridges and shallow depressions. With every change in the wind, those pale deposits are drawn into long silver ribbons — curving, narrowing, and dissolving back into the darkness.

Tempest Black reflects that same sense of movement. Its deep graphite foundation recalls a landscape formed from cooled volcanic stone, while broad silver and pale mineral formations move through the surface like ash swept across black terrain. Within those lighter passages, fine linear details suggest the repeated touch of wind, giving each band a layered and almost feathered texture.
